Construction cost reporting is varied and can be confusing for those not in the industry or for those who don’t know which questions to ask. There are several “categories” that costs and costs per square foot can be grouped in:

  • general conditions costs
  • building construction costs
  • site improvement construction costs
  • contractor overhead and profit
  • design costs
  • fixtures, furnishings and equipment costs

Each piece and part, listed above, is an important cost that needs to be accounted for upfront to eliminate surprises. Without each of these costs clearly identified, the risk for a budget busting event is highly probable.
All T&W projects begin with a complete list of all costs, in estimate format, to ensure that everything to follow is on track and honors the established budget.
